영어회화에서 if를 제대로 사용하는 방법

많은 분들이 if를 단순히 '만약에'라는 방식으로 사용한다.

if는 그 외에도 다양한 뜻이 있다.

 

회화에서 자주 쓰이는 의미로는 '인지 아닌지'이다.

이는 앞에 특정한 단어가 나와야 한다.

이러한 단어로는 matter, wonder, know, sure, see, ask 등이 있다.

아래에는 다양한 예문이 있다. 한글로 번역해보면서 연습해보자.

너가 흑인이든 백인이든 상관없어	It doesn't matter If you're black or white
걔가 완전 부자든 아니든 상관없어	It doesn't matter if he's super rich
너가 시도하고 또 하고, 결국 실패해도 상관없어	It doesn't matter if you try and try again, and fail
걔네가 내 뒤에서 나에 대해 안 좋게 말하든 말든 상관없어	It doesn't matter if they talk trash about me behind my back
이것을 데워줄 수 있는지 없는지 궁금했어요	I was wondering if you could heat this up
